Terms of Use

By using PantryChef you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs your license to the app. Where these terms add to the standard EULA, both apply.
Relationship to Apple's standard EULA
PantryChef is licensed to you under Apple's standard EULA for licensed applications, as supplemented by these terms. Where these terms conflict with the standard EULA, these terms apply only to the extent they do not reduce your rights under it.
You acknowledge that:
- This agreement is between you and the app provider only, not with Apple.
- Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim you have relating to the app, including product liability, legal-compliance, and consumer-protection claims.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
What PantryChef is
PantryChef is a personal recipe manager. It stores recipes locally first, lets you write and organize them, and includes a built-in web browser you can use to visit recipe sites and save a private copy of a recipe into your own library. PantryChef is not a recipe publisher, marketplace, or social network.
Your content and responsibilities
- You are responsible for the recipes, photos, pantry records, grocery records, notes, and other content you put into PantryChef.
- Recipes you import from websites are your private copies for personal use. PantryChef keeps the source URL and source name so the original work is attributed.
- You are responsible for complying with the terms of service, copyright notices, and other rules of websites you visit or import from.
- PantryChef does not bypass paywalls, logins, subscriptions, or other access controls, and you must not attempt to use it to do so.
- You must not use PantryChef to reproduce, publish, distribute, or transmit unlawful third-party content.
No dietary, nutritional, allergen, or medical advice
PantryChef is a tool for organizing recipes. It is not medical, nutritional, dietary, or food-safety advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional. PantryChef helps you organize and filter recipes, but always verify ingredients and labels for allergies.
Eligibility and children
You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or use the app under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms. PantryChef is not directed to children under 13. The app includes an unrestricted web browser; a parent or guardian is responsible for supervising a minor's use of it.
Purchases
- PantryChef Core is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Core does not renew. Restore Purchases is available from Settings.
- Apple processes App Store purchases, billing support, and refund requests.
- For account-bound verification and cross-device recovery, PantryChef may send Apple's signed transaction evidence and a random app-account token to the PantryChef service. PantryChef does not receive card or bank details.
Accounts, sync, and households
Guest mode stores data locally on your device. Optional sign-in enables private sync. Online features may be unavailable when their production service or required entitlement is not configured; local data remains available for reading, editing, printing, and export.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app or services: no unlawful content, no attempts to break or overload the service, no reselling access, and no uploading content you have no right to process.
Disclaimers and liability
PantryChef is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, arising from use of the app.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the current version will be posted at this address with its effective date. You may stop using PantryChef at any time by deleting it.
